Today is Thursday nothing significant about Thursdays except my mother use to call them “gleemerman” day.  That meant that if things were going to go wrong it would probably be on Thursday.

This afternoon I went to the Post Office to buy a book of stamps.  The line where you take a number was long so I got into the line for the automated machine.  There was a woman using the machine and a gentleman waiting and then me.  The woman was taking quite awhile – patience I thought.  So I stood and waited.  She left and then the man was printing out quite a few stamps or package labels.  Finally he was done and it was my turn.  I touched the screen for “stamps” and touched it again for my selection.  It then asked me to pay however it said it was unable to accept debit cards today.  So I tried a credit card.  It did not accept it so I used another.  It did not accept that one either, so I walked away without stamps.  It’s Thursday.

I was thinking what a waste of time and went to do my next errand.  I went to the Hallmark Store to buy a birthday card and thank you notes.  Found what I wanted and did not have to wait in a line.  When the cashier was ringing up my purchase I asked if they sold stamps.  She said yes!  Great!!! How wonderful that I was able to take care of all the items I needed in one place.

Even though it was Thursday “gleemerman” did not destroy the whole day.:) Positive thinking do not dwell on the negative.

I hope you had a pleasant Thursday.  Thanks for reading with me.
