Tragedy hit the U.S. today, over 20 children and adults were killed in Connecticut.  So sad for all the families.  Life is precious, we need to hug our children and tell them everyday we love them.  Family is so important, unconditional love is important, and making them feel secure.

I hugged my son as soon as he came home from school.  He is 18 and will be graduating from high school in June.  In August he will start college and it will be the first time that he lives on his own.  I will miss him, his smile, his laughter, and being able to hug him.  So I appreciate the time I have with him and I hope he will be strong yet gentle, intelligent and that he will listen to his gut and instincts to point him in the right direction.

What this tragedy reminds us parents is that we want our children to be safe no matter their age or where they are.  I want my son to stay safe, be healthy and be happy in his next phase of life!
