Happy Customers

I was thinking about my mother today and that she did not have to work.  However she liked to work in order to meet people and to get out of the house.  She worked before she got married to help her parents.  She painted ceramic figurines.  I have a few of them as do my sisters and brother.  She was very talented and artistic.

When her youngest child was a senior in high school she worked at a department store.  She wrapped presents for customers.  She did a great job especially creating show stopping bows.  Years later my parents moved to a small town and my mother took a job at one of the little shops on Main Street.  Customers followed her from one shop to another because she was caring and sweet to all of them.

The reason why I brought this up is one – you do not get this type of service in a large metropolitan city and two – that she liked what she did.  That’s what I am looking for.  A job that I want to go to each day, a job that I like, that makes me happy and I can make my customers happy with the service they receive.
