I transferred my IRA from one investment company to another or I should say I thought I did. I called the investment company I transferred my IRA to today because I did not see my investment online. I saw it at the old investment company. What? Why has it not been transferred it’s been almost a month?
I called the company that it is suppose to be at. The woman looked up my account and said “Oh yes I see that you opened a “traditional” IRA but you have a Roth. You need to open a Roth.” Thank you very much when were you going to notify me so it could be fixed? Unbelievable…with so many ways of communicating these days they could not let me know that there was a problem! How aggravating maybe the company thinks because it is not a huge amount that they rather concentrate their efforts with their bigger clients! Unacceptable! Now I am thinking twice about moving my account to them.
What has happened to customer service and appreciation? Where are the companies that treat every client with dignity and respect no matter how large or small their account is?
