Hug O’ War

I will not play at tug o’ war
I rather play at hug o’ war
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs.
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug.
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.

A friend of mine gave me this poem. Do you know who wrote it?
Shel Silverstein
A wonderful author of books that made you laugh, smile and think.  Books such as “Where The Sidewalk Ends” and “A Light In The Attic”, to name a couple.  Read some of his poetry.  It will lighten your heart.

Have a good Memorial Day weekend!

Hi Jan, I had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend with my son #3. (it’s a family joke why I call him that), his name is Yusef. I’m all for hugging instead of tugging, it works, even metaphorically. By the way, I appreciate your visits to my blog. Blessings!
