I was just looking at Oprah Magazine and her hair on the cover. Wow! Is that a lot of hair. Yes I know it is a wig but wow they really made it a piece of art.
I have always had curly, frizzy hair and when I was a little girl I brushed it a lot which made it look weird. As a teen I used Curl Free straightener and let it grow long so my friend could iron it with a real iron because we did not have straightening irons. I fought with my hair and hated how it looked especially if it was humid or foggy which made it frizz more.
Now I blow dry it straight and use the straight iron. I like it straight – it’s easy and will remain straight for days. But sometimes after I wash it I do not feel like doing anything to it. I let it dry natural and I find that it is not as curly as it once was. It still will get frizzy if I do not put any gel in it but it does not curl like it use to. And the funny thing is I have received compliments on my hair when I did not do anything to it. Compliments like it makes me look younger and some that say “I wish I had curly hair.”
Hair is one of the first things you notice about somebody. It frames their face and says a lot about their style – conservative, natural, wild. What does your hair say about you?
