Patience

“Patience” that was my mother’s favorite word, she would say it to us kids and grandchildren.  She was the most patient person I know.  She said it a lot to me because I am not a patient person.  I want everything to work smoothly and perfectly right now!

I want success now I am tired of waiting.  I want money coming in now not later.  I want to make the decision of when and where I work or how much I work.  I want it NOW!

Commercials have all of us thinking like this.  We have computers with blazing internet speed, “Instagram”  so you can see your photos instantly, vehicles that go faster, cell phones that do everything in the blink of an eye. You can purchase fruits and vegetables washed and cut and ready to eat.

Slowing down and waiting is not what I want to do unless I am enjoying a cup of tea and reading a good book.  The other day I was having problems with my software as I was working on a Word document for a client.  It would not format the way I originally set it up and of course I was on a deadline.

I was extremely impatient and I was getting frustrated, upset and to my wits end because I could not see how I could make it work.  Of course the more upset I got the more I could not see a solution.  I had to SLOW down and calm myself (“Patience”), then I was able to see that the simple solution was to call Tech Support and have them try to repair it which they did.

Slow down and take a deep breath there is a solution but we can only see it when we calm down and be patient to wait for the right answer to reveal itself.  Slow down and wait??? No I want it Now!  Don’t you?
