I have enjoyed writing posts to this blog. I wrote stories and poems throughout school. I always wanted to be a writer, to make a living connecting words to each other and to the thoughts of others.
Life and all its responsibilities got in the way and I worked wherever I got hired. Then I would get bored and get a job somewhere else. I would work and go home tired from doing something that had no meaning to me. Thus at night I would sit and read or watch the TV because I wanted to let my mind relax and be entertained.
In all the different jobs I had my last position allowed me to use my skills, abilities, leadership, and education. It was a very stressful position managing an office and trying to please the executive staff by giving 110% and working extra hours. I liked using my brain however there was no creativity to it, no writing other than business correspondence which can get very dry.
This blog and my other blog harrisandyou.wordpress.com has brought me back to writing. I do not do it as often as I would like but it is because I wait until I have something to say that might make it worth your time to read.
Blogging has also led me to read many other wonderful blogs and made me aware of how many very talented people there are out there. The blogs I have read have provided me with helpful tips on how to write better blogs, how to make money from your blog (which I have not been able to do yet) and has made me aware that there are a lot of people creating websites filled with information and creativity! They are inspiring and I am in awe!
While I continue to try and find the right fit in the world for me I will continue to write my thoughts and hopefully something will click that will fill me with that AHA moment of clarity and I will say “This is it! This is what I am suppose to do with my life.” and perhaps I will even make a living at it.
