Materialism what does it mean to you? We all fall into the trap of listening to commercials and wanting what is being sensationalized. Do you really need it?
When you go way back to settlers of the land, they lived off of what they farmed. They made clothes, produced their food, built their house. Most people these days do not know how to do any of that because we have the convenience of stores, malls, computers to buy things online.
If you were given a chance to live on a farm or in the wilderness for a month to learn how to cultivate food, raise livestock, build structures that you need, repair what breaks and learn where food comes from, would you do it? Would you learn to live simply without all the conveniences and consumerism that is thrown at you? Would you embrace it or run way from it?
